Van Hyde: Visit to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

In the first week of December, we visited the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This trip allowed us to connect with various public and private organizations, reinforcing our commitment to technological development in the region.

During our stay, we met with two outstanding developers, Marco De La Cruz and Nahum Santa, who participated in our program during the second half of 2024. Both shared their experiences with the Van Hyde International program to secure a new remote job. 

We also discussed their new professional achievements and the expectations of the tech market for 2025. While the tech market was marked by rounds of mass layoffs in companies in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, it is also true that a constant recovery is being seen in the number of offers and salaries for remote positions.

We thank Marco, Nahum, and all the members of our community in the Dominican Republic. This country has been one of our key markets during 2024, and we are excited to continue strengthening our presence in the Central American and Caribbean region.
